Scientists working for the US Air Force are working on underwear that repels bacteria to prevent them from smelling, so they can be worn for weeks without washing.
This might have applications outside of the military. I know if I had a pair I could get at least a few months out of them, compared with the few weeks I currently get out of my old tighty whities. And they might not break in half when I wash them.

LumiGram is a company that designs high tech luminous fabric based on fiber optics technology. It uses a 3V battery hidden in the clothing/item and lights up in a cool pattern. Which is exactly what I want when I'm sleeping, a big bright lightup pillow to lay my head down on.
